Building in Silence, Preparing for Scale
There are seasons when you’re visible.
And there are seasons when you’re building.
The last several weeks have been a building season for me.
If you’ve noticed fewer web classes lately, that’s intentional. I’ve been focused on strengthening the foundation of this movement so that what we do next is deeper, more scalable, and more impactful.
Let me share what’s been happening behind the scenes.
The SSI Jumpstart Coaching Program
I’ve been refining the SSI Jumpstart coaching program into something far more structured and transformational.
This isn’t just about teaching people how to budget. It’s not another financial literacy course filled with tips and terminology.
This program is about identity.
It walks participants through the three pillars of the SSI Method—Spending Plan, Savings Plan, Investing Plan—but it does so with a deeper lens: Who are you becoming as you manage your money?
Each session builds on the previous one. Spending becomes intentional. Saving becomes strategic. Investing becomes possible.
But throughout it all, we address money scripts, trauma responses, scarcity thinking, and self-concept. Because without identity work, strategy doesn’t stick.
The Think Outside the Cell Partners Program
At the same time, I’ve been developing the Think Outside the Cell Partners Program.
This is an affiliate initiative designed to expand reach. Partners will earn 50% commission on digital products while spreading the SSI Method within their communities.
But this isn’t just a revenue play.
It’s a multiplication strategy.
If financial instability is one of the drivers of recidivism, then financial literacy must be part of the solution. The more people who can teach and distribute practical wealth-building tools, the greater the impact.
This program is about scale with integrity.
It’s about empowering others to carry the message forward.
Finishing My Memoir
Perhaps the most personal work has been completing my memoir:
Losing Mama: One Family’s Ongoing Recovery from the Crack Epidemic.
This book isn’t a side project. It’s the origin story.
It examines grief, addiction, incarceration, and how environments shape identity. It explores what it means to lose a parent not just physically, but emotionally. And it traces how trauma can shape behavior long after the event itself.
Everything I teach about money, mindset, and ownership is rooted in lived experience. This memoir connects the dots.
It reminds me—and will remind readers—why financial empowerment matters. Because instability is rarely just about numbers. It’s about identity, loss, and survival.
What Happens Next
Our twice-a-month web classes will resume in March.
And when they do, they’ll be different.
More experiential.
More hands-on.
More interactive.
We’ll share screens.
We’ll open accounts.
We’ll take real steps in real time.
This next phase is about moving from discussion to execution.
Sometimes you pause the visible activity to strengthen the invisible foundation.
That’s what this season has been.
March is coming.
And it’s going to reflect the depth of what’s been built.
